Η διεθνής ομοσπονδία ιστιοπλοΐας ανακοίνωσε ότι θα επιτρέψει τελικά στον Πάβελ Σοζίκιν να αγωνιστεί στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Ρίο ντε Τζανέιρο, αν και την περασμένη εβδομάδα είχε αποφασίσει να τον αποκλείσει.

Η διεθνής ομοσπονδία ιστιοπλοΐας ανακοίνωσε σήμερα (3/8) ότι θα επιτρέψει τελικά στον Πάβελ Σοζίκιν να αγωνιστεί στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Ρίο ντε Τζανέιρο, αν και την περασμένη εβδομάδα είχε αποφασίσει να τον αποκλείσει από τη διοργάνωση.

Σύμφωνα με τη σχετική ανακοίνωση, το διοικητικό συμβούλιο της διεθνούς ομοσπονδίας αποφάσισε ομόφωνα, μετά από νεότερες οδηγίες που έλαβε από τη ΔΟΕ, να επιτρέψει στον Ρώσο ιστιοπλόο να αγωνιστεί στην κλάση των 470.

Την τελική απόφαση για τη συμμετοχή των Ρώσων αθλητών στους Ολυμπιακούς του Ρίο θα λάβει η τριμελής επιτροπή που έχει συσταθεί από τη ΔΟΕ.
