Πρωταθλήτρια Αγγλίας για 5η φορά στην ιστορία είναι η Μάντσεστερ Σίτι και μετά το ματς με τη Χάντερσφιλντ, το τελευταίο φέτος στο "City of Manchester", έγινε η απονομή. Ο Πεπ Γκουαρδιόλα έφερε ξανά τους "πολίτες" στην κορυφή μετά από 4 χρόνια και φυσικά αποθεώθηκε, όπως και ο Γιαγιά Τουρέ που αποχωρεί απ' την ομάδα, ενώ οι παίκτες πριν την απονομή έριξαν το τρόπαιο στο έδαφος!
