Σαμ Κέντρικς, Μόντο Ντουπλάντις και Πιοτρ Λίσεκ προσέφεραν ένα μοναδικό θέαμα σε όλους τους φίλους του στίβου. Τρεις τεράστιοι επικοντιστές επιβεβαίωσαν τις προσδοκίες όλων και στο τέλος αποθεώθηκαν από όσους βρέθηκαν στο στάδιο της Ντόχα.

Ο Κέντρικς ήταν ο μεγάλος νικητής λόγω λιγότερων άκυρων αλμάτων, όμως αυτό ελάχιστη σημασία είχε αφού όλοι απόλαυσαν τον αγώνα.
