ATP: Τέλος οι επόπτες γραμμών από το 2025

Η ATP ανακοίνωσε ότι από το 2025 σε όλα τα τουρνουά της δεν θα υπάρχουν επόπτες γραμμών και ότι οι υποδείξεις θα γίνονται από το Electronic Line Calling Live.

Η ATP ανακοίνωσε ότι το σύστημα Electronic Line Calling Live θα χρησιμοποιείται σε όλα τα τουρνουά του Tour από το 2025, κάτι που σημαίνει ότι δεν θα ξαναδούμε επόπτες γραμμών σε αγώνες τένις.

To ELC Live δοκιμάστηκε για πρώτη φορά στο NextGen Finals του Μιλάνου, ως μέρος μιας σειράς φιλόδοξων καινοτομιών, αρκετές από τις οποίες έχουν ήδη εφαρμοστεί στο Tour. τα τελευταία χρόνια το σύστημα ήταν σε εθελοντική βάση και υιοθετήθηκε ευρέως στην πανδημία της covid-19.

Η κάλυψη ELC Live σε όλα τα γήπεδα θα προσφέρει επίσης ολοκληρωμένη παρακολούθηση των παικτών και μπάλας σε όλο το Tour παρέχοντας ένα τεράστιο επίπεδο δεδομένων ανάλυσης-απόδοσης παικτών, αλλά και την ανάπτυξη νέων στατιστικών στο τένις με τη συνεργασία της Tennis Data Innovations (TDI).

“Η παράδοση είναι πυρήνας για το τένις και οι επόπτες έχουν παίξει σπουδαίο ρόλο στο άθλημα όλα τα χρόνια", δήλωσε ο πρόεδρος της ATP Aντρέα Γκαουντέντζι.

"Έχουμε, όμως, την ευθύνη να υιοθετήσουμε την καινοτομία και τις νέες τεχνολογίες. Το άθλημά μας αξίζει να έχει τον πιο έγκυρο τύπο διαιτήτευσης και είμαστε χαρούμενοι που θα το εφαρμόσουμε σε όλο το tour από το 2025.”
